On the up-side, if JL screws it up, you end up in a rental vehicle.

Also know as...

The fastest car on earth.

I recall my mom bringing in her montero sport to jiffy lube and they managed to strip screws

In the same boat. Have to go through AutoZone. $50 oil changes and they want $600 for a tie rod change. Ugh

Wow, quickie lubes are frightening. They make us go to dealerships for maintenance on our fleet cars. Not much better, mind you...

I didn’t know Autozone did service.

The worat place ever. Does your company know they don’t really need to go every 3000 miles?

Same here, I was without a truck to deliver parts in a couple weekends ago because it was at Big O getting an oil change

Not my money, and I’m responsible for all maintenance on it. It was brand new when I got it.

You have to pay for service to a company car even though they force you to go through the shop they want?

Why not Grease Monkey? They do a pretty good job.

It’s the wait that always annoys me (I assume dealers are at least as slow). Something I can do in 20 minutes at home, vs driving somewhere, checking in, getting in line, sitting in a crowded room with old people, their ill-behaved dogs, and small children, then some 18 year old shows me my near-new air filter and says he thinks it’s dirty.

“We show that you are ready for a transmission flush. We can do that while you’re here, it’ll only be another $80 and shouldn’t take that long.”

I’m always insulted when I’m offered that. They’re saying, “This guy looks like he knows nothing about cars, let alone the one he drives everyday, or its maintenance schedule — let’s see what services we can fleece out of him.”

What about ToyotaCare? I know it only goes to 25K (which you’re past already), but it’s free dealer oil changes, tire rotations, etc.

It’s always been a logistics problem. I’m working six days a week right now and there’s basically no time to do anything buy cram in as much work as possible. I pretty much just happened to drive by a quicky lube on my way home and I was past due for a change.

Yeah, I can see the time crunch. The Toyota Care for mom’s RAV4 did well for us, and we’re gonna need to take dad’s xB in soon for its first service.

Also, if you don’t mind revealing on here, what is your job? If you don’t want to say what it is, I completely understated.
